Description
This handmade medium shield ring is one in a long-running series of shield motif pieces. The sterling silver top is slightly curved with beveled and rounded edges. I use hammers and handmade tools to deliver an intricate pattern. Then I apply oxidation in the recesses to bring the design to life. She is set with a bright faceted raspberry tourmaline. Is it tribal, ancient, symbolic, modern? Over many years I have heard so many impressions of these marks I make on the metal. You decide.
